In Yoga Nidra, we enter the sacred practice of Śavāsana — the posture of stillness, surrender, and deep restoration.

Though it may appear simple, Śavāsana is a profound and intentional pose. In this posture, the body lies completely supported and at ease, so the mind can soften and the soul can listen. The more comfortable you are, the deeper you can go.

This isn’t about perfect alignment.

It’s about creating a safe, sacred space for your body to release and your spirit to rise.

Below is a short video to help you set up your space using common props — blankets, pillows, bolsters, or whatever you have at home. Treat this setup as part of your ritual: a way of saying

“I am worthy of rest.”

Sacred Rest Set Up Guide

What you’ll need:

• A yoga mat or soft surface

• Comfortable clothing

• Headphones

For Extra Comfort and Support:

• An eye pillow or eye covering

• A thin pillow for beneath your head

• One or two bolsters (or rolled towels) for beneath your legs

• A blanket to stay warm during stillness

• A journal and pen for healing and reflection

Silence the world. Light a candle. Place a sacred object beside you.
